Believe it or not, there is actually a way to feed cats, dogs, ferrets and other carnivores called B.A.R.F (Biologically adequate raw foods). You can google it, but here's a site to start you out:

So, yes, not only is it okay, it's the way it was intended by nature. However there is a lot you have to know first before you switch your pet over to raw food.
In the wild the animal will eat the meat, tendons, bones( yes, bones. If uncooked they are not bad for the animal. Only cooked bones get brittle and may splinter possibly injuring the GI tract of the animal), ligaments and some of the stomach contents and therefore get complete nutrition. On top of that, some carnivores eat certain grassed and whatever else, so you'll have to know what to substitute. Check it out.

We feed our cats and our dog raw meat all of the time. It will not make them mean. To start off, mix the raw meat in with the dry. Then, slowly add more raw and less dry dog/cat food until your dogs and cats are used to just raw meat. Good Luck!

You'll get different opinions on this. I say, as long as it's very fresh, raw beef and fish are okay. Raw poultry can have bacteria that cause diarrhea and vomiting, and raw pork can carry parasites.
Personally I'd avoid feeding raw meats regularly because the pet may develop a taste for them, and start demanding it, and refusing the rest of its diet.

I sure hope so. My cat catches and eats birds and mice all the time, she has for years.
They're perfectly fine to eat raw meat, their digestive system is much stronger then ours.
Ever here the phase "a dog's breakfast"? If you've ever seen what dog eats you'll know that raw meat is not going to hurt them.
Just make sure it's not (too) old.

NO it not okay or even good for your pet__ if you do feed raw meat to your pet it will make him/her a killer of other animals so that it will be obtaining other raw meat---- dry and 1/2 can (depends on size and weight of pet) is the best diet .....wc

we have always given our pets scraps of raw meat and have never had a problem. in deer hunting season we give them the deers legs after skinning them and the dogs chew on those for days. (it's winter and the meat stays frozen) but it's raw

this is a question alot of people will sure argue over. now my morbid answer. you get a animal use to raw me. you die in the house or fall and can not move. stroke or something. the animal gets hungry. now you answer the question. the only reason i say this is that i have seen it!!! i have two dogs and a cat. dry food and treats only!!! i love them more than myself. but when you have worked on a ambulance as long as i have and seen the things i have. you stick to some hard and fast rules!! this is one of mine. but you may not feel this way. raw meet for either as long as it is not excessive is good for them. but not in my home. i wish you good luck. and remember animal do as we train them. unless starved. then it is to each there own.

I wouldn't feed them raw meat, it can cause worms. i'd cook it first. But its always a good idea to have your pet stick to pet food. Do you really want a table begger? I hate it when pets do that. And they will beg at the table if you feed them table food.Maybe sneak them a treat in there pet bowl once in a while, but they really don't need table food.
