The next door neighbour killed his pet Dog ( lovely dog, unfortunately I was elsewhere at the time and unable to rescue the dog) in a fit of rage after his girlfiend left him( stands to reason eh). Which in the list below are you capable of killing mercifully or not ?

a) A dangerous wild Animal
b) A Human Being, healthy or seriously ill
c) A Fly or other insect
d) Your fatally wounded Pet
e) Your very lovely, healthy pet.

c) flys, ants are about it. I'd leave them alone too if they stay the heck out of my kitchen. Doesn't bother my conscience to kill.

a) if I were being attacked by the wild animal. I would defend my life, but I would feel sorry later that I had to kill.

d) only if I were more than 20 minutes from a vet who could euthanize my pet. otherwise I would have to put him out of his pain. I would suffer greatly if I were forced to put my pet out of his/her misery because I couldn't get to a vet in time.

b) only if the human being was attacking me and I feared for my life. I doubt I could assist a loved one commit suicide. To protect myself and my family, I could kill. Afterward, I would suffer for having had to do it.

e) NEVER, NEVER, EVER

Last thought. If your neighbor killed the dog, alert the local Humane Society or County Animal Shelter to that fact. Let them investigate. Your neighbor has committed a crime. Anyone capable of that kind of rage won't stop with a pet. The girlfriend could be next. Report it!!

I kill mosquitoes and other harmful insects without remorse but not insects that are harmless. I trap them and put them outdoors if they come in the house. I did allow my beloved cat to be put down when she was clearly terminal and in pain. I could probably kill a dangerous wild animal in self defense or to save the life of another human, but I'd simply avoid it if I could.

I do not kill animals for food - I'm vegetarian. That probably colors my view of animals as fellow beings, not objects.

No, you show obvious attachment and empathy for people and other human beings. One of the basic signs of a sociopath or someone with another personality disorder is that they hurt animals. You, however, seem to do the opposite. Psychosomatic diseases can also apply to mental disorders, and you may want to watch out and forget about all this sociopath nonsense.

I hope you reported your neighbor to Animal Control for abuse charges and also the cops. That ex-girlfriend would be wise to get a restraining order on one so abusive.

what a question. Even when I am angry,I most likely may want to fight this person who had to have harmed me or someone I love. But not kill. Ruin his/her life yes. That'll make them wish they were never born.
