Well I was usually given a quarter but once I got a silver dollar. Man o man was I happy!!! And sometimes the coin wasn't under my pillow but at my feet just to make me search for it! But, the tooth fairy left it for me not a bunny. I guess each child/parent has their own traditions right?!

When the Tooth Fairy came to my house, it was a quarter. Nowadays with inflation when the Tooth Fairy visits, she leaves my daughter a gold colored dollar coin. She hasn't spent any of them because she considers them to be very special. :-)
I think Kennedy half-dollars would be good, too. You can get either type coin by asking for them at a bank.
