hey im doing an essay and i need to know what you, the people think

is it wrong to geneticly engineer ligers a tigons?

please if you could give reason to your answer it would really help

If the realm of atrocities were to be considered..I would think the genetic engineering of these animals is only a minor infraction..It isn't something I would commit energies to stopping, and I can see helpful scientific education to come from it..

I wouldnt deem it "wrong" necessarily, to genetically engineer ligers or tigons, however there is little viable reason as why we should do so. Any hybrids are sterile, and therefore cannot reproduce naturally so to maintain a population of them we would have to continue to hybridise them. While we are spending time and money in doing this, we could instead be looking at other conservation methods in maintaining the current tiger populations (which are endangered).
The problem with genetically engineering such species is that it is only for the benefit for us, humans, rather than that of the hybrid offspring or other populations.

yes it is actually - firstly it is illegal as you can never imagin what the resluts could be
secondly - nature did not intend for people to intervine in its natural course thingie
SO YE IT IS!!!
