i have been wanting a mini for a long time now.. i have enough money for one, in fact ive found one that would be perfect... we dont have a barn yet, but my boyfriend said i could keep it at his house until then, the thing is my mom doesnt think it would be a good idea but she says i have to tell my stepdad and ask him if its okay if i buy one and keep it there.. i dont really know how to approach him about it because he's a hardass, and is all uptight about people haveing animals and then not taking care of them ( i used to have a rabbit i didnt take great care of like 2 years ago) at my real dads though i have horses, and i take great care of them.. i just dont know what to say to my stepdad so he'll let me.. if you even tsay the word "animal" or "horse" its like an instant "CHANGE THE SUBJECT".. anyways that was long, give some advice please! and thanks

You might have to "prove" to your stepdad that you're more mature than you were 2 years ago, and that you can take care of a responsibility (unlike the rabbit). Chores, homework, etc. If the rabbit didn't work out, I don't blame your stepfather for being gunshy about a horse - they're a lot more expensive and a lot more responsibility than a rabbit, and if you have a history of not taking care of animals already, I totally understand him not wanting to get one.

they have have been given to journey a greater robust horse and now no longer a pony, permit on my very own a miniature different than they're that afraid they are able to't take care of a horse over 14h.H and are petrified of falling off. You did no longer specify how plenty those young ones weigh, which by the variety sound to great to be driving miniatures to start up with. So no its no longer perfect. they are able to no longer advance that plenty weight. Max volume they might carry is almost 40 pounds. So except you're decrease than the age of six, greater proper get a horse around 14h.H and up and older than 4 years historic.

Minis are awesome. I had two. make sure when you buy one to check the bad legs for crookedness and the teeth for parrot mouth.(bad overbite) Anyway , how old are you??? I think if it's your money you should be able to buy it. So explain to your stepdad that you are going to be totally responsible for it.and you have a place to keep it. They don't need very much room. Some people over here have a pen 10 by 20 feet and he looks lost in it.And make sure the fence is good because they are escape artists!!! Hay , oats and water. Good luck!

OMG I hope he lets you get one!!! Minis are soooo cute! There is a girl in my neighborhood who has one and for the 4th of July parade for our neighborhood she decorated him up; she decorated his hoofs and stuff and put ribbon in his hair and he looked SOOOOOOOO cute!!! Anyway back to my advice...I recommend that over the next 2 weeks or so (ya I know it's a looooong time to wait), you should do extra chores, not watch tv or play video games or anything else like that during the week, go to church with no objection on Sundays (if you even go to church or if he's weirdly religious or something lol), do your homework right when you get home from school, suck up to your parents/stepparents lol, get good grades in school and show them to your stepdad, and just plain SHOW RESPONSIBILITY LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SHOWN IT BEFORE!!! Lol...this works with like 99.9% of parents!!! I guarantee that it will work for your stepdad! And if it doesn't, then here is a plan to get him back: when he is @ work one day and you are at home alone, take a couple of eggs and put them in his bed (put them under the sheet with the elastic on the corners. It is really funny!!! And don't worry, I don't think he'll be mad about it...my stepdad doesn't have the best sense of humor, and I did this to him once...he laughed SO hard he almost peed his whitey tities!!! Lol good luck hope my info helped!

Why dont you take it to your real dads then?
Why are you wanting a mini if you already have horses? Have yu researched miniature horses? (not called miniature ponies) They take every bit as much upkeep as a full sized horse.
