My hamster's chin got scratched a few days ago, the scratch is healed now, but there is a lump where it was. I think that it is infected, so I want to give him anibiotic. I don't have access to vet, please recommend me which antibiotic and how should I give it.

My horse is acting up with an attitude while riding. Why?
Today my horse was being a dufus. I thought forsure i was gonna get bucked off even though she is the calmest horse ever. What do you think could have been wrong just today?

She was running side ways and wouldnt run straight.

She was banging her head and chewing on her bit.

It was windy, but its always windy here and shes never been like this before.

I moved her to a new place 2 weeks ago and this was the first time i rode her since. Does that have anything to do with it?

How do you know when a horse is about to buck. How can you stop him when you know he's going to?

I dont use spurs because i think its a little harsh.
Would start using them help

Any help from a horse expert with an answer to any of these questions would be greatly appretiated.

I purchased an 11 year old paint broodmare that has only been halter broke, she has never been broke to tie or ride. I have sat on her back, but very carefully as she trys to buck. Her original owners said she has a mean streak, I have seen it a few times, when she was tied. Does any one think she would still be trainable to be a good trail horse? If so any suggestions of a trainer in the mid/north georgia area. All my horses have always already been broke so what would the price range be??

I've had a hamster for a few months now and she was fairly young when I bought her.

But the problem is she's always biting the bars on her little habitat. Like for hours sometimes, she'll just chomp away at them and it sounds like morse code. It was cute when I first got her but I just started worrying about her breaking her teeth, then she won't be able to eat.

So, I was wondering if there was anything I could do about getting her to stop or should I get her to stop at all, is it normal? Thanks in advance!

He had a great home, pleanty of food & water. I noticed he was very slow moving when we got him but I had no idea he was sick. His slow movement was the only symptom he showed. Does anybody know what it could have been? What kills a hamster who looks fine, just moves really slow and deliberate?

Why is it that so many people here, go buy a pet they know nothing about ?
they ever consider looking into this BEFORE they have problems?
Some folks here have reptiles at home and don't even know what to feed it!!!

I just ask cause I am not out there everyday and apparently she foundered before I got her. The guy that sold me the bales said a horse can sometimes founder on these bales cause they are 50% alpha and 1/2 grass. He said they are rich and not to give her too much, but she was on pasture all summer...

So is it ok to give her a whole square at a time?

Is it mean to make my horse dig through the snow for food (there is lots of long grass under there). I only get out to feed her a 1/2 bale every 2-3 days as I don't live near her right now. I don't want to give her a couple bales at a time as she tends to overeat and get fat, and apparently foundered before I got her (the bales are 50% grass and 50% alpha).

Why is it that our pets "need" to get vaccinated almost every year? Humans certainly don't need to do this except for the flu shot which is a different situation... It seems to me that immunological memory should exist in cats and dogs too.

Always as a child I grew up with dogs, my gran had 2 dogs and they were like my best friends, where ever I was the dogs were :( and my mum has had dogs and still has... Now I'm in London I never get to spend time with dogs, I dont have one of my own as I flat share and there is no garden.... I know dogs can be a tie down but I feel if I had a dog I'd be a much happier person....

Do dogs make you happy?

Do sheep and goats make the same sound? In other words, if I blindfolded someone and put them next to one of them could they accurately identify which one made the relevant noise?
