Hey everyone...I was wondering if you recommend guinea pigs or hamsters...also, if there is another relatively easy-to-care-for SMALL animal that you recommend and have info on please let me know...and if you recommend guinea pigs, can you please give me some info on them such as how to care for them, do they bite, how old they live to be, how small the minimum cage I should buy is, and anything else you want to add. Also, do hamsters bite? I NEED INFO PEOPLE!!! Lol thanx for the help in advance. Oh yeah and 1 more thing: is a 30" (length) x 18" (width) x 16" (height) cage big enough for 1 guinea pig? Thanks for all the help!

between a hamster and a g.pig i would DEFINATLY go g.pig, even the tamest hamster will bite at some point in its life but all in all hamsters are anti social and want to be left alone. pigs raerly bite, like to be held and some even purr. yes a 30 x 18 cage is big enough for one, you also need aspen chips, water bottle, food, food dish, vitamin drops, and a house for them to hide in. you need to change the bedding at least once a week. pigs dont produce vit c the way other animals so they need suppliments in the form of vitamin drops, and oranges. pigs usually live 5 to 7 years where hamsters are doing good to make it to 2. my personal favorite small animal is a rat if you can handle the tail, again they raerly bite, love to be handled, and are very intelagant, you can even teach them tricks, rats dont live as long 2 or 3 and you need to make sure that the bars on the cages are close together or they can escape their cage. good luck and have fun
