i have had baby fish b4 but not like the things in my tank now i dont no wot they are but they are swimming around but look like little white spots on the move and there is around 200+ all over the glass on the tank please help

Whats better to purchase fish at? Walmart or Petsmart? I have a Petsmart but on the other sid of town and its too much of a hassle to go over there and come back. Is it worth it?

I saw a 15 gallon nano reef setup at our local aquarium store yesterday, and it was so cool. :) I'm thinking of setting one up, but I only have experience with freshwater tropical fish.

Can anyone recommend any books or websites that can guide me through the process of setting it up? I want to be sure I do it right.

What are some good fish to put into a 20 gallon tank. I want freshwater fish , they can be tropical but not any saltwater fish. I want lots of colorfull fish but really sturdy and active. Any imput on this or anything else regarding starting a new aguariam will be great!!

I have a ten-gallon tank with four zebras for about a week. I plan on adding a dwarf gourami in another week or so and maybe another zebra or two in the future. I have some small plants and a rock centerpiece but everything in the tank is very open (no hiding places). I've always known that algae eaters tend to stay low-key and hidden most of the time. Will I need to create a hangout for him? What sort of algae eater should I get and at what point will I know that there's enough algea built up for him to eat?

My tank cools right down over night when its very cold. The heater finds it hard to keep up. The thermometer reads 27/28 during the day but drops to 23/24 over night. Is this ok for the fish? The heating in my house isn't on over night and my kitchen becomes freezing!

I have a crowntial female betta who has not been able to swim properly for some time now. When I look at her it looks as if her neck has been damaged. Her head is angled down so that it looks as if there is a point like a T.P where her neck meets her body. I have no idea how it got this way but it has.

Just a couple days ago she stopped swimming altogether. Just swimming to the surface for a breath of air seems like a great struggle for her...she also seems to be having problems breathing as well. I've tried putting her into a community take with a filter, air pump, live plants and a heater. Yet she did not respond to it. She was in a breeder net at the time so the other fish were not able to pick at her like they usually do. Her coloring is blah when it used to be beautiful. She can hardly eat as well. I'm tired of watching her suffer and feel that it is time to go ahead and end her misery. Yet I don't want to hurt her in the process. I just want it to be quick and painless.
