is it okay if i keep sum guppies in a small tank with NO heater if i live in reno....my dads friend has guppies in a tank with no heater in reno......(at least tat was wat my dad says...he says there is no heater)

Guppies are pretty hardy. We had them in Cali without a heater OR filtration. They even bred... so they couldn't have been too unhappy! Just keep their water reasonably clean and remember to feed them and they should be fine. If they're indoors, the water should stay warm enough without a heater.

For any tank you NEED a heater and a fan. You never know how the temp. will change. The tank needs to stay at a temp of between 72-78.
