It's called Planaria...It's tiny white worms that you get from uneaten food that falls to the bottom of the aquarium. You have to do a 20% water change and add some aquarium slat each time u do. You also have to use a gravel vac. Research on-line u will find alot of help. MXMASTR

I don't know what kind of fish you have but you can usually tell when fish are breeding because of the action in your tank. My daughters gold fish made a hole in the gravel and swam back and forth frantically for weeks. She then noticed and she had to look really close, for there were indeed baby fish.(fry). You can buy an inexpensive fry tank at wall mart that attaches to your regular tank. Put some of these white things in there and see if they grow. Good luck.

actual, my first advice could be to get a minimum of a 20 gallon tank in case you may have the money for it. a ten gallon tank is amazingly limiting in terms of what fish you may shop in it, and it truly is harder to maintain than a miles better tank because of the fact the water high quality can substitute swifter. lots of the fish you spot in puppy shops are too large to maintain in a ten gallon tank in case you purchase them in the reported numbers for perfect college length. do not question me why, yet many puppy shops do not carry aquariums greater suitable than fifty 5 gallons, yet they sell fish which could require a miles better aquarium than that. virtually each and every keep i've got seen contains oscars which desire a minimum of seventy 5 gallons. besides, in case you have your heart set on a ten gallon tank, pay interest to catx, particularly her article approximately stocking a ten gallon tank. She is prevalent with what she's speaking approximately. particularly, do not even think of approximately putting goldfish in a tank that small. those "gorgeous little goldfish" you spot in shops would be a foot long as adults and desire 20 gallons of water according to fish.

Sounds like you may have fish lice. They are a parasite and you'll need to get rid of them before they attack your fish. They sell stuff for it at the pet stores, just ask for something to treat fish lice/parasites.
