My mystery snail wont some out if its shell? Did i do something wrong?I bought him at walmart and just put him in there yesterday!

Your mystery snail was probably really nervous and scared of the transfer to his new home! How would you like it if one day some guy put you in a box and took you to a room with strangers? If he doesn’t move in the next four days you might want to call the nearest pet store or vet. Why don’t you try putting some food in front of him? He might smell it and come out of his shell. Some snails are different than others because once I got a snail that came out of its shell in one minute. I recently got another snail that didn’t come out of its shell for three days! He was floating the second day too! So just be patient and wait!

Yah, Walmart..not the greatest place to buy fish. Or any living thing for the most part. At least at the one near me.
But NEWAYZ.... I've had snails before, and this has happened. They LOVE i mean LOVE cucumber. Cut a thin slice off and just stick it in the water. If there's nothing wrong w/ your snail he'll be out N eating n no time!!!! Just remember to change the cucumber OFTEN. Decaying food will deplete oxygen levels, murdering your fish for a 2cent mystery snail. ( if you have fish) If not, change it often, bc ur snail will reproduce!! And.they LUvvv cukes.

Mystery snails should come to the top of the tank to get whole air periodically if he hasn't come out of his shell yet he should go back to Wallyworld for replacement.

Cuttlebone is not needed and I have tried it myself, NONE of my mystery snails even touched it. And do not use iodine as well. Just do what you are doing now, seems they are getting more healthy and growing fast. ("'\(o.o)/"')

Sorry to tell you this but if you want to buy any animal Wal Mart isnt the right place you should go to a PET STORE like petco. most of their anima;s or fish have a disease like fungi or something.

give him time to adjust. also, snails don't have to eat everyday so he'll come out when he's hungry.
