I have tried holding her paws tightly and squeezing them and deeply saying 'no jump'
I have tried turning my back on her.
I have tried kicking my knee into her chest and saying "no jump' and none of these tactics work--any ideas?

I have a PWD and his skin is really dry and flakes when you pet him. It doesn't seem to bother him too much but he does itch a lot and its not fleas. What can I do to help him with this problem besides brushing him? Keep in mind Portie's have hair not fur. Is their cream? Home remedies? Conditoner?

thanks

i had a 2 month old dog and a girl purchase her from me she asked me if we can make an agreement saying that if she takes the dog to the vet and the doctor saids shes fine then everything will be good but if the doctor said their is something wrong with the dog then she would return it back to me for a full refund. She told me the dog had seizures and the doctor said it was best to put her to sleep but she never had seizures in my home and she had the dog less than 24 hrs so she took it upon herself to put the dog to sleep.Should she have her money back being that she didnt follow the agreement?

He is black with white markings and weighs approximately 10 lbs. His current name is Jesse but I don't care for it. Nothing obscene or anything like that. Use your imaginations though. Thanks.

Just wondering if it is normal or if you have to request it. Also if it is common to have this as well as ear cropping done with pitbulls.

He is a 8 month old Jack Russell so you can guess how active and eager to eat he usually is. This afternoon he had a brittle dog treats; a roasted ham hoch. Now at home he turned from his dinner and has laid by the fire since - 3 hours is a very long time for a russell. Now it's after 9pm and the vets are closed.
I'm wondering if he has a bowl obstruction and if so, how long can that be in place before he needs an operation?
Thank you in advance to all who will try to advise me.

I got her from a friend. She just hides behind the toilet, bed, and t.v. I am beginning to get frustrated. Also she won't walk, she will allow me to drag her the whole way so I end up having to carry her. I am lost!

I've had dogs all my life, but I just got a new Golden Retriever puppy 1 1/2 weeks ago. She's amazing! She learns things at the drop of a hat and then continues to recall them day after day! Maybe its just because I love her so much, but I needed to tell everyone how great she is!!! :)

Ilost a child when I was 4 months pregant. Ihave wanted children ever since. My current boyfriend can't have children. We both come from broken up marriages. Neither of us are divorced but it doesn't matter. We love each other and that is all that counts. Boyfriend and his ex wife have a pitbull that he isn't allowed to see. I have a retired guide dog that lives with us. I got the dog from my dad when he passed away. My boyfriend and I both want to get a pitbull puppy from his friend that just had puppies. We live with my mom. I asked my mom if we could have a puppy. She said no because we have to move again after the holidays. I just feel that if I got a puppy it would fill the place of having children. I don't want to leave my boyfriend but really need to have children of my own. I have younger children in my life that I consider my own when I have them with me. Do I just bring home a puppy and go from there? Any suggestions?
