Actually all dogs are special...I love them all...but I have a Black Lab mix, and she is quite different than the Collie, Husky, Shepherd mixes I've had. She seems to have more "habits", and is extremely intelligent.

If you have a Lab or Lab mix dog, how do you think they are either a little special, or a bit different than some of the other breeds?

Ok, a lot of people are telling me that I am a backyard breeder - is this true if.. (here is my info.)

I currently have 2 male, Miniature-Poodles (3 year old Charlie, colour - black, and 4 year old Olive, colour - pure white ) who I breed with either my Chinese Crested (5 years old, black and white, Amber) and my Chihuahua (3 years old, caramel colour, Coca). I usually breed Amber and Coca two or three times a year with either Olive or Charlie.

I get 3 litters of Chi-Poo and 3 litters of Chinese Creste-Poos.

I do this for money, yes, but also because I love it. I do not have my own business. I can usually sell the Chi-Poos for $1000 - $1200 depending on who I breed Coca with.
I can sell my Ch. Creste-Poos for anywhere from $1300-$1600.

I sometimes even have waiting lists on either breed! I started breeding Coca at 2 years and Amber at 1 year 8 months old. I have donesome testing with the Chihuahua and Poodle but not much.
Am I still a backyard breeder or am I a breeder?

We took him back to the vets to the nurse and she says it is not the right colour for a pulpal bleed or an abcess as there is no other symptom at all...

She is looking up anything else it could be as this is the first time they have seen anything like it. They are a well established vets... now Borris does also have pinky coloured neck hair and they think it could be just colouration of the enamel.. like we have yellowy enamel or milky coloured teeth?
Anyway - I have to keep brushing and every day check for other symptoms. No question really - I just wanted to update you all - thank you.

I was told that garlic is bad for dogs, can cause liver damage and much worse it can kill the dog. Does anyone know about this and what is the max of garlic a dog can have. Any help would be really great.
Kind Regards. Rose.

I have a large mountain dog. He's almost a year old and I'm afraid I gave him more love than training as a puppy. I'm home all the time, but he will whine for hours until he gets his way (gets to go outside, has be retrieve his ball from under something). Not only does he whine, but he will nuzzle me and put his head into whatever I'm doing to get my attention. He's so big he pushes me over sometimes! I try to wait for him to stop before I let him out or give him toys, but sometimes I can't always do it so I wonder if I'm sending him mixed signals. I'm 7 months pregnant and very worried that if I dont get him under control he will be dangerous to have in our house even though he's a super sweet dog.

What can I do to tame him? We cant take him to obedience classes because we live in a foriegn country and I dont know the language.

I've been having stomach problems since about August of this year. My kids and my husband seem to get waves of it too (but not nearly as bad as me). Just recently I've noticed that my dog has had very bad diarrhea during most of the time I've been sick. My doctor has told me it is very unlikely that my dog and I could have the same sickness. Has anyone else ever gotten sick from your dog? Could this be my problem?
