It depends what side of the "religion spectrum" you're on. If you're "into" reincarnation, it can. In Christian teaching the Bible says, "It is appointed upon man ONCE to die, and after that the judgement." While man's soul lives on after death, according to Christian teaching, as you see by this scripture he only dies once...not multiple times as reincarnationist believe. I'm just sharing views...not postilatizing.

Personally I dont think so. If you are human you reincarnate as human! A dog might have been a different breed in a past life but it is still a dog!
I have a cat who behaves exactly like one we previously owned and likes/dislikes the same foods!
The Bible says the soul dies as well as the physical body and there is no afterlife only sleep till Resurrection!
So it really is a matter of personal belief!

Why do you think it IS him?

There's probably no way of scientifically proving it, but a lot of people say that they have experienced a died relative or friends soul living on in someone or something else. I think it is nice to think that the people who were closest to you can still be with you. For some it is a comforting thought that can help people overcome loss.

of course it can. i had a pet tadpole once and the souls of all my great grand parents were in it. once it turned into a frog they left and my uncle toms soul replaced them. hes been happy as a frog ever since. so it must be true for dogs as well. i have since met 1 of my great grand parents in a fish in a chinese takaway, its been eaten now. i dont know where the soul went to next

i think it can. after my grandmother died,we had a graduation party for my cousin. this dog followed my aunt all the way to the party, stayed untill everyone left, and then went away and didnt come back until the next family gathering. we thought it was her reincarnated.

Um...I don't think so. Once you're dead, you're dead forever. Same with your soul. It either goes to Heaven or Hell. As for the neighbors dog, I'm really not sure what to tell you.
