I've been having stomach problems since about August of this year. My kids and my husband seem to get waves of it too (but not nearly as bad as me). Just recently I've noticed that my dog has had very bad diarrhea during most of the time I've been sick. My doctor has told me it is very unlikely that my dog and I could have the same sickness. Has anyone else ever gotten sick from your dog? Could this be my problem?

Since this has started, we have moved out of our house and into another, so I don't think it could be environmental.

by any chance do you have gas in your house if so you need to check and see if the vents got pluged like on the water heater vent rodents build nest sometimes in the pipe . or an oil burner the same thing go get a carbon manoxide tester and see if it goes off also have your place checked for mold in and under the house also can cause problems . if not this have some one check air samples of the house . have you had a new carpet put in it can cause problems write back to me when you find out i'm at dalecollins64@yahoo.com good luck

Hi your doctor is right as dog is not mans worst enemy when it comes to illnesses...you will find that MAN is mans worst enemy as thye have the tempretures needed to develope illnesses that affect us humans...dogs are not the ones that give us things of that nature...
Human stomach problems can & do carry from the bathroom thru the spray from the toilet that fly around in the air & deposit the germs that are carried from the bowl to surfaces...
Cleaning with bleach can help to keep these germs down but it will not be your dog...

I have a nurse friend whose 6 year old daughter keeps coming down with strep throat. They found out that their beagle had strep. The dog and the child were both treated and have been well since. It's been just a few weeks, but she's hoping that the infection is cured.

Maybe you should ask a vet about your situation.

This is not the problem. Since it seems to be hitting every living thing in your home, I would look to something you are all ingesting as the culprit. Food, water, or some other substance.

Hi! You should probably take your dog to the vet because he/she shouldnt be having diarrea all the time. But i seriously doubt you're getting sick from your dog. just a Coincidence.
