thank you all for your answers about my puppy. you were very helpful and i will pass this info along. thankfully i bought him from someone, not a pet store. i dont even think they got the breed correct. it says cocker spaniel but people who own a cocker told me he looks more like an english springer spaniel. thanks again!

I am having a hard time finding a good place to buy a dog. Many people say do not buy from pet stores or people that have ads in newspapers. So where do you find good dogs at?

since I had him outside this morning he's been making these weird sounds, it sounds like he's wheezing or hacking. Does anyone know what this could be? Should I take him to the vet?

My 5 year old Doberman Nitro attacked a 3 year old child ..This child ran up with out warning and started pulling on My son(Nitro) tail and Nitro defended him self and bit the kid causing 25 stitches and my dog was put in quarantine for 10 days and was then released to me.now i am being harassed to put my dog down I WILL NEVER LET THAT HAPPEN Even if the authorities forced me to i would put him in hiding........ thank god that isn't the case..because my dog only bit one time ...Dogs are allowed three strikes.... but most stupid dog owners who had a dog that bit usually volunteer to put their dog down right after the 10 day quarantine HOW DISGUSTING
ANYWAY>>>>
How can i get these stupid people to stop harassing me
...........My dog wants to attack them .....Help

I walk my dog on the beach and almost everyday he takes a couple bites of damp sand. The first time he did it I thought maybe someone had dumped food out on the sand, but this behavior has continued for a few weeks now. It does not seem to have any adverse effects on him, but it doesn't seem healthy either.

Any ideas?

I have a dog that has been sweet up until the past couple of days. When we pet him, he growls and tries to bite. Anyone have a similar situation or suggestion? I'd hate to put him down, but I don't want anyone to get hurt. Thanks.

Hey, I just got a maltipoo puppie, he’s about 9-10 weeks old. He’s so freakin adorable, but he has the tendency to be VERY hyper and he bites EVERYTHING in site… even people! I try telling him “no bite” and all of that stuff, but it doesn’t work, he comes back like I’m playing with him even more. At first I thought it was just teething, then I thought that it was because a maltipoo is a maltese/poodle mix and from the poodles ive met before, they’re mean and snap a lot, and I figured it was the poodle coming out of him, but now im not really sure. Can anybody give me any logical answers or help me try to stop it? Im afraid when he grows up he’s going to get into the habit of biting people as fore myself and I don’t want that! Heelppp me please.

I'm not sure what kind it is, but from looking online, I think it's a Glen terrier. She weighs about 30 lbs., drinks only a couple times a day but for quite a while. I feed her twice a day. I take her outside about every 3 to 4 hours and she refuses to go to the bathroom while on a leash, so I let her go, but most of the time she doesn't do anything. She's not having accidents in the house either. Is this normal?

I have just begun the VERY slow process of switching my puppy over to a brand of dog food called "solid gold" for puppies. It's supposedly an all natural very nutritious brand and was wondering if anyone here has used it or can tell me if it's really as good as they claim.

Thanks everyone for your replies when I said his urine was dark I didnt mean BLOOD dark God I am not that stupid if it were that bad he would be at the vet. He is on dried dog food which he is not keen on so we tend to give him bits and pieces of food through the day which I know is not good. How do I get him back to eating dog food alone, maybe dried food is not the answer?
