I'd feed the adult dog once per day for her weight (only dry food).
Feed her veggies (carrots, peas, etc. for snacks).
If you think she's constipated then try adding a little canned pumpkin to her bowl (this usually helps).
Take treats out with you and when she pees/poops say "good girl" and give her a treat. This will encourage her to go while on the leash.
If she still is having problems take her to vet to get checked out.
Very nice you took the dog in -- not many people do this.

Our girls (a Belgian Malinois and a GSD/Chow mix- they are large dogs, ages 4 and 3) eat twice a day and have fresh water available at all times. They usually go wee two or three times a day and go poo once a day and sometimes they only poo once every other day. I have been told that the girls pee more often than boys especially if they are spayed. I don't think two or three times a day is all that often, even though my Vet assured me this frequency is normal for dogs. For their size dogs have a lot more bladder capacity than humans, though they poo with about the same frequency. As dogs age they may need to wee more often.
As long as she has fresh water available at all times and is drinking and going wee at least twice a day I would not worry. However I would strongly recommend that she get a full health evaluation by a Vet as well as vaccinations and of course, if she is not already spayed, please spay her. There are plenty of low-cost spay/neuter programs that may be able to help.

Take he to a vet for a check up. I had a dog like this too. We got her from a moster mom and she would hold it on purpose when we took her outside and come in a poop and pee everywhere. Sure it is a little diffrent but maybe your dog misses his owner? Post flyers saying found dog and post a pic of the dog you found. Maybe he has a bad cut in that area from another dog. Take your dog to the vet as soon as you can for a check up. Hoped that helped! Good luck!

Kind of you to take in stray. Get her to a vet for a thorough check-up. You can discuss your concerns with the vet plus you'll find out if she needs any kind of special treatment or medication for heart worm, pin worms, Lymes disease, etc.
Could be you have a good housebroken dog. My dog is capable of being satisfied with going out only once in the morning and once in the evening. He too gets fed twice daily.

Since you just took her in I would suggest you take her to a vet for a check up and to be spayed.
