It's not a very good idea to bring a dog into a home where there is a person in that home that HATES dogs .
Smelling your private parts is very normal for a dog .
Dogs smell each other to get to know each other , so they do the same with people , nothing unusual about it .
I'm worried about the poor dog ....who came into a home where he's not welcome , and they can sense that .

Just remember this: your husband made the decision not the dog. I have 3 dogs, and I too did not like dogs. But boy do they grow on you. Give it some time.

Why didn't your husband respect your decision about having a dog?

Keep the dog - ditch the husband!

Jus keep saying 'NO!!' in a sharp voice to the dog and ignore it - or send it out to the garden everytime that it goes near your bits! It's natural for a dog to do that - he's only checking you out! It will learn - be patient.

As for getting the dog, knowing that you objected!!??!!

I wouldn't treat you like that - I'd be really kind to you and take care of you and love you forever!!! LOL!!

Look, dogs smell things, its how they figure out who people are. My best advice would be to talk to your husband about your feelings towards the animal. Do NOT blame the animal for being brought into the house, it wasn't his fault. If things become unbearable, contact a breed rescue, they will be able to find it a good home.

Good luck and just be patient.

It's only curious about your scent, what you eat,how healthy you are and your age. Every good family has a dog,if they can. Or some sort of pet.

You should respect the dog and your husband enough to let him have one if he wanted it -that bad-. Ignore the fact that the dog is a dog and get to know it's personality. You'll warm up to him sooner or later.

This is how dogs identify people is through the sense of smell. As one poster has said I feel very bad for this dog being in a place where he's not wanted .It's not his fault for being there and acting like a dog. Give hime half a chance ,he will grow on you and maybe become your best friend.

well honestly its natural for a dog to smell (so happen to be your pussy), but this is no different from a dog smelling another dogs butt... scent tells alot to a dog.. don't be disturbed he's just smelling your scent and eventually he won't have a need to smell you all the time because he already knows your scent unless you come home smelling like something else later on or been around another dog recently...

If you hate dogs and you expressed this to your husband, and he went out and got one anyways I would be pissed right off ! I'm sorry I voiced my feelings your ignored them, take the dog back....call me a b i t ch whatever. it's no longer a matter of the dog, it's now a matter of respect! which clearly he's lacking.

Well I would suggest you take a bath,or tell your husband about this problem you seem to be having.Maybe the dog is trying to tell you "SOMETHING".Didn't you know a dog is man's best friend?

Maybe if your husband was doing the right thing with you, the dog would be licking his face.
