I hear that when a dog is spaid they hate their owner and their whole attitude changes. Especially if I'm the one taking her to the vet and then picking her up? I just don;t want her to hate me and I dont want her to change but it HAS to be done. We are not planning on breeding her and the dr's say that dogs are 95% less likely to get a mammory tumor if it's done before her first heat.

...Mine is the Australian Shepherd. We had a red merle female. Last year we had to put down our 14 year old Aussie - she was my favorite dog; she was so intelligent and was fiercely loyal to us - she and my son grew up together. After we move, I want to get another Aussie puppy.

I heard a yelp then ran outside and caught a glimpse of someone running away! I took her to the vet; she confirmed that it was indeed a stab wound. Well, It has been very hard to keep her from scratching while it heals!! My question is...what can I do?? If I keep it covered all the time, it won't heal at all! How can I stop her itching and keep her from scratching at the same time?? Please help!! BTW...She is a big dog...about 75 pounds...! Also, it is in the middle of back...right between the shoulders.

My pure bred yellow lab has a condition the dr. called cherry eye. It's like when the inside of the dog's eyelids turn inside out, and it looks painful and like he cannot see very well. Our vet gave us eyedrops and put the eyelids back in the right place, but they popped right back out, and the drops are not working. Anyone had experience with this???? Please answer if you have. Thanks!

A friend of mine has a 3 year old male neutered German Shepherd that is very friendly with other dogs. That is, unless there's a fence in between them or he's on a leash. What causes this? Has anyone broken their dog of this and how did you do it?

Please only serious answers, she's not going to the dog whisperer and she' not getting rid of the dog, she's a good dog mom and loves her him dearly.

My daughter has a dog and when she gets loose sometimes she bites. My daughter and her dog lives with me. My daughter is 20. I was wondering if she would be charged if her dog bites or if I will be charged since I'm the owner of the house. If it would come back on my house insurance or what?

it is a dog toy with a hole to put food in to keep them entertained, i went on their website but the recipies are really unhealthy like melted cheese and peanut butter. peanut butter is good because it is sticky and lasts a long time, but it is kind of fattening. what does anyone else put in theirs if they have one? thanks.
