...Mine is the Australian Shepherd. We had a red merle female. Last year we had to put down our 14 year old Aussie - she was my favorite dog; she was so intelligent and was fiercely loyal to us - she and my son grew up together. After we move, I want to get another Aussie puppy.

I have had golden retrievers for most of my life. They have the same intelligence and faithfulness as the Australian Shepherd but non of the high energy level. My second favorite dog is the Newfoundland. They are big, sweet, easy going and laid back. Good luck on your future puppy

Aussies are great dogs - but my personal favorite is Chesapeake Bay Retriever. However this is NOT a dog for the inexperienced dog owner - they are high energy intelligent dogs that can make it a real challenge sometimes to be "smarter than your dog".

I love love love my German Short-Haired Pointers (commonly known as GSP's) They are super smart and have a high level of energy. They love to run and play, but also love to cuddle and give kisses. They are also very beautiful with their sleek lines and soft coats. Above all, they are the most loyal dogs that I have had in my lifetime, and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

A Boston Terrier. My Great Grandma Had one, and so did my Grandma. I can see why they did. Boston Terriers can tell when your happy, sad, hyper, and sick. Some love to play, and some love to relax. Best of all, they are adorable, and know when you need a good laugh! But if you get one, buy it from a reputible breeder, I HATE PUPPY MILLS, AND BACKYARD BREEDERS!

I love doberman pinschers because they are pretty, they have short hair (not a lot of shedding) and they are very loving. also they are great guard dogs... but you never have to teach them to be all you have to do is love them and they will love you back and they will protect what they love. They wil attack anyone coming into your home without your knowledge, butat the same time all you have to do is introduce them to someone and they will be as nice as can be to them.

Huskies, along with wolves, coyotes,etc, (I love photos of them), kind but I'd never wanna own a dog-if I had a fenced yard & was going on a vacation, I could use one then.-dogs can scare the burglars away

Favourite pedigree breed has to be the rottweiler, but i honestly prefer cross breeds, especially rescued ones
