My lab digs in my yard,and has managed to peel off some of the skin on his nose.There is a small pink spot.Will the black pigment come back?

It should, but it depends on the severity. My dog has a black nose and has scraped the skin off before. It took time, but it fully healed and you can't even tell it was gone. : )

Yes it will come back but your lab will do this over and over. I had a lab who used to walk with her nose to the ground dragging it across the sidewalk while she sniffed. She always rubbed the skin off and it always grew back with the pigment. Your dog is having fun, enjoy it.

Well, you're getting alot of different answers.
I had a black lab that got bit on his nose and he had a little spot of pink on his nose for the rest of his life. But it got so I didn't even notice it after a few years.

It might not. My dog did a similar thing on his nose, and many years later you can still see a spot. It is just like when humans get a scar and it heals a different color than your skin.
Let your vet take a look at it if you are really worried.

the skin is probably fine. now to get him to stop digging...tie his toes together (not tight) just comfortably when he walks and then when he starts to dig his paws spread and he wont dig...just do this for a day or so and if he still does it tie them again until he catches on.

it might but i would find a docter if it dont come back do not let the dog scrath or lick it ,it will make it worse.

it probably will with time. keep your dog busy with toys in your yard, so the spot can heal.
