Biting Midges are USUALLY found on farm animals. My 2 dogs are a RARE case, especialy here in Illinois but they did get the Biting Midges from infested straw bought at a farm. This has been torturing US for OVER a YEAR NOW!It is SO SAD TO BE ABLE to HELP the symptoms, but not CURE them.I have been to 4 Vetrinarians who were no help,we tore out OUR CARPET,had an EXTERMINATER COME HERE 5 TIMES,asked the Village's mosquito program what they,or we could do to get rid of them(said no),asked the head Vertrinary Parisitologist at PerdueUniversity if he had any suggestions(said no),we've tried just about every chemical you can think of recommended for that type of insect. We even bought a Machine Guarenteed to ELIMINATE BITING MIDGES and mosquitos cost$259that was advertised on the Television(waste of money)! We're HOPING someone in the SOUTHERN US might be able to give us a POSITIVE IDEA because I'm told MIDGES happen more down there on pets.GOD BLESS YOU DOG LOVERS,Thanks,VERY sincerely,Pam

My two dogs just got in a fight. The smaller dog got a wound on the top of his head. It is not bleeding but it is a tear in the skin. Is there anything that I can put on it? The dogs have been put in seperate rooms until they can cool down.

I'm not really a lap dog sort of person and would prefer not to have loads of dog hair all over the place. Constant BARKING is a no no.

When she was a puppy she hit her head and got a lump. The VET said, it was just swollen and would eventually go down. It never did. She is crazy. She never listens to me or my wife and runs wild, out of control. I'm not sure what to do. I have already spent 1000 on private training.

My chow/lab mix is 6 years old and is becoming more agressive. Bit the neighbor girl this summer and now just bit their pug/beagle puppy through the fence. Is humping our other dog (male) whenever they play. What behaviour mod can I do with him and what makes him more agressive?

Hi there, I brought home my 13 week old cross pup today. As expected i'm having a few teething problems. As she is still toilet training she is sleeping in the kitchen. I do not have a crate but she has a nice cosy basket with a familiar scented blanket in. Every time I close the door she is howling. Any ideas? I have tried the radio and ticking clock method but no joy x Please help I need some sleep x

He is not acting like anything is broken but he is limping. He has a gash that is wide open and scratches all around it. He is not bleeding all that bad. He acts like he is in some pain. Should I take him to the vet for that or do you think if I just clean it a few times a day, it will heal on it's own?

He has had all his shots and flea medicine very recently. Yet he continues to scratch. I made the mistake of giving him a bath with human shampoo. Could that be the cause of scratching or is it something more serious?
