Not happening kiddo... parents are stubborn. Graduate, get your own place, and you can have as many pets as you like.

If you were fully supporting your pet (financially and the primary caretaker of the pet) --- I wouldn't have a problem if you wanted another pet.... but since you aren't mine..........
Then try this : Tell your parents that since your dog is getting up in age - now would be a good time to get a puppy --- to make the transition a lot easier when the older dog dies....you will already have a pet that's in the family and use to everyone.

i have a 10 month old shih tzu and a 8 year old chihuahua (mix) and they dont fight, but the older dog ignores her. i dont know your shih tzu, so i cant say if it is a good idea or not. if you think the shih tzu would do well with another dog, try to get your parents to let you get a chihuahua.

Wait until your old enough and can afford 2 dogs. You need to realize the cost you need to pay for not just food, but taking the pet to a vet, shots, sterilization, and any emergency. Emergencies can cost well over $500.00... Do you have that much money laying around?

right here is your "reassurance". anybody with an oz.. of hassle-loose experience might wager that a dogs it quite is REFUSING meals and water, can not defecate or urinate, and is in discomfort could see a vet ASAP. call your vet, in the event that they're closed, their answering gadget could have information on the closest after-hours or ER vet. Take your checkbook/mastercard. it may already be too later to maintain her existence - intestinal obstruction, bloat, large inner harm... get her to a vet or a minimum of do her the provider of knocking her over the pinnacle so she would not proceed to die by inches in affliction. dying is greater suitable right now than slowly as an proprietor refuses to seek for needed medical interest.
