They are labled as lower species, looked down on by some humans. Who gave us the right to judge them? Do we lead by example? I wish some people would stop being so self righteous and judgemental. How about excepting your own "mutt and mongrul, designer and hybred" people before you lay your judgement down on another species.

I mean, were supposed to be protecting the pet population and every joe blow is coming up with a new breed of mutt. Shi-poo, puggle, labra-doodle, shitz-in-shoes. (okay that last one was just for fun!!!)Give me a break. A few years ago dog owners were giving these mongrels away to get rid if them. Now people are paying big bucks WHY????

got a very old dog in an apt housing, he's been at a house all his life and is used to going through a doggy door, im wanting to train him to use a litter box, any tips for helping this to happen? i have a cat too, should i give them seperate boxes? is it possible to train a dog that has to "walk it out" to use a confined area like that to go? can he learn to do it while being still? he's old and i love him but im tired of the smell, if i can teach him i'd like to try, cant stand walking him with my busy schedule and even when i do he messes anyway because he cant even last my work hours without going... more description he's um about 14 yrs old in human years, nearly blind, nearly deaf, not quite completely either, he's a mutt, midsized, maybe 13 pds, pointers would be great, or any contact nfo2 people that work with pets would be awsome, thanks

p.s. i've read a bit of pet pads, any of them work good? odor attraction type pads i mean, im interested but skeptical, any success stories?

My puppy has a little bump on her belly and I was wondering if it was because of an umbilical cord.

I'm getting a new puppy in a few months and I'm most likely getting a chihuahua or pomeranian. Which do you personally like better? Tell me the pros and cons of each, and which one you think is cuter.

And please, I want personal opinions ONLY. If I wanted a breed description i'd go read that.

She waits until we come back inside and then runs to a corner and goes. I would really appreciate any good advice on what I should try. By the way she is going on 2 years old and it isn't getting better.

A. He ate out of a bowl with the breeder. B. If I take the food out of the bowl and either feed him by hand or put it on the floor, he'll eat.

If you've read my other dog questions, you already know that I'm getting another dog in a couple months. Well my mom would prefer that I get a dog from a shelter, but they have agreed to buy me a puppy from a breeder if I want to. (Don't worry-we will NOT buy from a petshop!) Well I think it would be so kind to adopt, but there are many things that could go wrong. Like:

-what if they say the dog is younger than it is and i turn out with an old dog? (i want a young one)
-what if they say it's a healthy dog and it turns out to be very sick?
-what if i adopt a puppy that they say will be small and it turns out to be big?
-or, what if they say that its good with other dogs but its mean to my other, very sweet dog?

sometimes a breeder seems like the safer option

i dont want an inbred, "backyard" dog, but i'd love to save a life....

I'm aware that I need to use the crate method etc but I just want to be sure to train at the proper age. Can I train now or do the puppies need to be a little older? (If so how much older) They are Chihuahuas (one is mine, the other is my husband's)
