Dogs - September 2006

I'm looking for a REALLY small type of dog, like a toy/teacup dog. But I have read that many teacup dogs have health problems? Thanks!

One dog Zoey loves to mess with things in the house and my other little baby Anne, crazy as it is loves to chew holes in the wall. Help how can I train them to just be good so they can stay in when I go? ........ They are house dogs when im home and they are good dogs.

I have 2 beautiful POMERANIANS. Took them to the Vet and they gave me the Flea & Tick Killer to place on there fur. But now the fleas are in my rug and some are flying around.
I clean, clean and clean but yet they are all over. PLEASE HELP>]

I have a 2 year old dog that I rescued from a shelter about 6 weeks ago. My husband and I work during the day. I make it home as often as I can, but some days she goes about 8 hours by herself. We have been keeping her in her crate, but I feel guilty about leaving her there all day. She's a very relaxed and easygoing dog, and she has proven fully housebroken. We've recently started leaving her alone confined to one room while we're gone for an hour or so, with the hope to eventually give her access to that one room for the entire day. Is this okay? Or should I keep her in the crate? She gets loads of love and attention in the evenings and during the weekend, but I often wonder the best way to keep her happy during the daytime.

Some people tell me that my dog's name is dumb. He is a rescued Rott/lab mix, and he is 3 years old. I named Him Mo, because he is so klutzy, and always knocking something over, and he used to be running around and run into walls(thank goodness he didn't hurt himself) and he reminded of the three stooges, Larry, Mo, and Curly. He doesn't have Curly fur, and Larry isn't much of a dog name, So that leaves Mo. What do you think?

he is a 12 wks old chihuahua/rat terrier mix/ He can be so sweet, until he does not get his way. Today he broke the skin on my hand because I would not let him go down thru the yard to neighbors house. He can be vicious when he cannot do what he wants at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

can you give them human medicine for this? obviously at smaller doses.
i know all the chicken and rice and starve techniques but was thinking that there must be somthing better to give them than the johnsons tablets, as i have found these not to work.

Anyone know how to get it out? I will take him to the emergency after hours vet if needed. It is a small piece of grass. His eye is getting red and it is bothering him. I have tried rubbing his eye but it isn't evening moving.
