Some people tell me that my dog's name is dumb. He is a rescued Rott/lab mix, and he is 3 years old. I named Him Mo, because he is so klutzy, and always knocking something over, and he used to be running around and run into walls(thank goodness he didn't hurt himself) and he reminded of the three stooges, Larry, Mo, and Curly. He doesn't have Curly fur, and Larry isn't much of a dog name, So that leaves Mo. What do you think?

Good for you for rescuing a dog and not getting a purebred. That's a very good name.

I think it's a perfect name for him from the way you described him. Plus I think it's just really cute! I have 14 dogs and 5 cats and Mo is a name that I never thought of before, but I really like it.

If that's the name you feel suits your dog the best then it isn't stupid by far. One tip one giving your dog a name is to choose one with 2 clear syllables which I've heard in the end results in a better response to calls and commands. Dogs will eventually learn their name after a time anyway but keep that tip in my mind if you do reconsider. BTW - Mo sounds great to me!

I think it is very fitting. Why I almost named my dog Duke Maxfeild, duke for short, and then I figured out he slipped around on the floor and fell all the time and Duke is not a klutzy name, too noble, so now it's Maximo, Max for short. Mo is good, and it's his name no matter what.

I love it when people name their pets for a reason, not just because they think the name is cute or because its a common pet name. I think your dog has a great name--it's thought out, works well, sounds good for a dog.
