One dog Zoey loves to mess with things in the house and my other little baby Anne, crazy as it is loves to chew holes in the wall. Help how can I train them to just be good so they can stay in when I go? ........ They are house dogs when im home and they are good dogs.

Great question 1st of all. Some breeds are harder to teach this to than others but what I did with my dog was first cage train him to the point I felt he was old and matured enough to understand me better for training. Then of course start to let him out and anything he grabs, chews, or moves I would show it to him (in front of his nose) and give him a firm yet easy NO.

Sounds like they are smart dogs. Smart dogs get bored when they are left alone and tend to get into trouble. It is kind of hard to deal with unless you confine them to a "dog proof" room or to a kennel (which may be too confining, depending on the length of time you are gone) Some animal behavioral specialists or dog training centers may be able to help you with some tips for training them.

My dog Frost did the whole wall chewing thing too. I had to confine him to one room (the kitchen) while I was gone and leave LOTS of toys in there with him. He is now 2 years old and can stay out when I leave. It took some patience and some wall repairs to get him through his baby phase.

Provide the dogs with plenty of things to keep them busy. Like Kong toys filled with treats and peanut butter. Keep them in a room that they cant get in trouble in. In an area you don't mind getting messed up. Lay papers down so they can go to the bathroom and plenty of fresh water and some kibble. Leave them raw carrots and other veggies for them to chew on instead of rawhide or bones they can choke on those so its best to not use them unsupervised. Good luck!

Your dogs are going through some anxiety and boredom. They kinda freak out when they realize they are home and you are gone. Then after a while they get bored. Our dog used to do the same thing. We had to finally get a crate for her. She doesn't mind being in a crate. It makes her feel more secure.

If you want them out of a cage then buy a doggie playpin. Its like a little fence for dogs.
