If you have a saline wash for your contacts you can use that to flush it out. Plain water will work but will be more irritating.

Hi, I am a veterinary technician and the best thing to do is to get a piece of cloth, like a cotton wrap or flat towel, and with the cloth in your finger tips, kind of pick at the piece of grass. Or you could get some water, not real cold or hot, and drop some drops in it and move the skin around his eye in a circlular motion so it will move the piece of grass to the side or even out. Then you can wipe with the cloth in hope to catch the piece of grass. If still not succeeded you can take him to the vet. But prepare for a bill.

Take him to the vet. Thats the best thing to do. Rubbing his eye will only make the grass get deeper in the eye.

Do not rub the eye !!!! And do not put soapy water either. rubbing could cause the eye to get scratched. Run tepid. lukewarm water in his eye to try and flush it out. If that doesn't work then go to the vets.
