he's fixed and has always been an alpha male but this last year he's lashed out at other dog for no reason.

the poor thing is vulnerable. It used to see and now is blind. Animals are very basic when it comes to instinct. Fight or flight. He is dealing with something he has never had to be exposed to and now he has to work extra hard to keep his place in the higharchy. just work with him on what is right and not. Give him time and be patient. He'll come too. He' just spent so much of his life having it his way and now he has to re adjust. Good Luck!!

his eye sight is failing from the glaucoma. the other dogs are more than likely scaring him, in what your dog views as "sneaking up on him." also, he is 13. that is very old for a dog. maybe he just doesn't feel well. he could have something like arthritis making him hurt and more grumpy.

Well if you think about it, he's 91 years old in human years, and he probably just doesn't want to take any crap from the young pups.
