What are average rates to take your dog to stay in a kennel?

If you put your dog in a kennel while you are away or if you take it to someone to dog sit, what do is it cost on average per day or night?

ATCH test?

My 4 month old rottie puppy has to get a test called ATCH. The doctor is doing this test because he has diareahea after eating unless he is on medication.
Does anyone know the prcoedure for this test, what disease it is looking for and how much the test costs.
Any information about the ATCH test would be really appreciated

One dog or two?

I'm interested in knowing what your experience has been with one dog as opposed to two (or more) dogs. I have a one-year-old Aussie and am interested in getting another dog but want to be aware of any pitfalls before I decide. Thanks!

Dogue de Bordeaux / French Mastiff owners?

I was curious if anyone else had this breed. It's still considered rare in the US so there isn't a whole lot of info out there. I've had to rely on what I've been able to find online. (We had to drive over 2 hours to even find a breeder that had puppies.) My pup is now 7 months old and was curious what health problems they've experienced.

some question about lab puppies ???

Hello to all dog lovers….i have two lab puppies 7 and 5 weeks old. I m new dog owner ..so I need some suggestion from some expertise…..i m not sure about how much I need to feed them ..coz they are always hungry and this is their growing time ..they are growing really fast …so I m feeding them puppy chow right now ..do u have any suggestion about any other food which is good for them …
Sometimes male puppy starts eating mud from ground …how can I stop him doin that …
Sometimes female puppy eat from male puppy’s bowl too …she is big and eating too much …so If u have suggestion about this ..please share with me too ..

Does anyone have a dog that can't swim?

I was looking at the website for a pet spa. For $15 per day, they will teach your dog how to swim. They said in three days they will be able to tell if your dog is a land lover, or a true water dog. My dog know how to swim.

I have a little pug he is 4 months old and has chewed on one of my pain pills 80mg OC?

should I call the vet, poision control, or leave it alone. The pill itself isnt broken but there are teeth marks throughout it and it has been chewed on, I am worried that him being such a small dog something might happened even with that little of a bit what should I do

serious questions on this site? Honestly, I've some questions like: my cat has had a runny toilet for 3 weeks now&I saw blood-what do i do?OR, my dog has kennel cough for some time now,what should I do.OR, my dog has given birth and the puppy has crushed his/her tongue-how should I feed him/her?etc etc etc

People, if you think your pet is sick. BRING HIM/HER TO THE VET. Stop waiting for weeks to decide then go on the net for an answer. Your answer is at the VETS!

Dog skin allergies?

I have a PBGV. He is 12 years old. His allergies are out of control this year. We have had him on everything..but most products only work for a short time. He is chewing, itching, scratching..it starts with yeast in the ear..and goes from there..the places that are bare from scratching are dry and wrinkly..he smells awful..and I bathe him 2ce a week. The best product I have found is mane n tail protect line..it works great usually..but I can rarely find it. I also like seargeants antimacrobial line..niether EVER has 2 products side by side at any store...it burns me up...I need more suggestions.

My dog has a cough any ideas?

my 5month old staffy has had a kennel cough for about 2 weeks. It is not as persistant but mainly of a night he'll have the cough like he's got something stuck in his throat. The vet recommended a child cough mixture which i've tried to no avail. Any ideas?
