hi--i have a dog. so i am talking from experience. a. i advise you don't leave the dog in a kennel--unless you have no other option. b. the price depends on where you live --in a city or village or where? c. i prefer to leave "him" with a baby sitter who has already a dog -- same size as "he" -- In general for a day, i would say around 20-30 dollars -- again look up "students" they usually post their availability in dog's parks. good luck.
PS. the dog gets lonely in kennels and needs a human touch --get him a baby sitter-student.

At most places, dog boarding is between $12-$16 per day. Unfortunately, few places offer discounts for multiple days. Many doggy daycare facilities will charge this amount and the dog will have an opportunity to be out during the day socializing with staff and other dogs.
Current Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations are required to board your dog at such a facility, or at any reputable kennel.

I would rather pay someone $20.00 a day to take care of my dog then put them in a kennel. They pick up diseases and they just aren't all that happy.
I walked up to a boarding kennel once with my dogs and when I heard all the noise, I turned around and walked off. I couldn't imagine how that must sound to them.
I hope that you can find a responsible dog sitter.
Good Luck and Take Care

Have a relative or a sibling to stay at your place ... So the pets will feel comfortable being home ...
I don't know about dog sitters ...
I have my brother in law stay at our place while we go on vacation ... Of course, I pay him $$ for watching our dog and our cat ... My dog FREAKS out when it comes to putting her in a cage / crate so there was no way for leaving her in a kennel ... My dog also does not like other dogs unless they are a giant dogs ... My dog is a miniature schnauzer!
My mom says she leaves her dog in the kennel for 9 dollars a night ...

Look into the doggie daycare places - they usually offer boarding, and they won't be locked up in a cage all day. Some of them even have private rooms with dog beds. I looked into this a few months ago, and it was $20/day with overnight stay, or $30 for a private room.

That usually depends on the size of the dog. We have 2 dogs. One is 40 Lbs. and our vet charges $10 a night to keep her. The smaller dog is 10 lbs. and the charge to keep her is $7.

Why do not you ask a chum or kinfolk member to take a seat for you once you're away. it is much less of a worry & besides, a minimum of, you would understand that your dogs is with somebody you may have faith. earlier taking your dogs to the kennel, you may desire to latest your papers on as much as date photos particularly bordetella. some might require which you deliver your individual food and so on. mutually as others have a extra "hotel" like sense, so we expect of. stable luck on despite you pick to do.

I think we spent $16/day, but the kennel we used was just terrible and we'll never go there again.

It goes by State, by size.....
We left our dog in a kennel once for a week.
When we returned I had to carry her to the vet,
b/c she had caught the mange. Mange mites can jump
5 feet.
So it cost us more than boarding for that trip.
