I love tomatos too much to use them on my golden. I use this stuff called Approach. You can get it for cheap online at www.approachit.net

Takes the skunk right out of her. I also used it to spray down my deck after she rolled around and got the skunk smell all over it. It's got no harsh chemicals so it won't harm your dog at all.

Give it a shot it's great stuff (Better order two though. Going to need a lot to rub her down with!)

Good luck!

big dog
2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda
1 squirt of liquid dish soap
mix in bucket sponge on dog let sit for 10-15 mintues rinse with water
This works far far better than anything with tomato juice.

I used solution of 1L of tomato juice+1-2 tbsp of baking soda, then regular shampoo and conditioner. Second time I used Skunk Off shampoo. Both are good, just need a good rinsing after.
The tomato juice mix should be used on a dry fur, the Skunk Off shampoo - on a wet fur.

Tomato juice is supposed to neutralize the odor, and maybe vinegar. Call a vet or dog groomer and ask.

Get a few large cans of tomato juice. My friend had 2 german shepards that got sprayed and that worked the best. Make sure you rinse them off well though so their skin doesn't get irratated.

Tomato juice is supposed to work well, there are also a number of commercial products to help with this, including one by Nature's Miracle which uses natural enzymes, like all of their products.
