Take the dog to the vet. Could be old age or it could be a medical problem. As for the carpet. You need to consult a professional carpet cleaner;one that uses hot water extraction (or steam). If your dog is using the same spot over and over, it has likely seeped deep into the carpet fibers and pad. A rental machine or home machine does not have enough suction (or heat) to get the deep down stuff out. Good Luck with the dog and carpet.

They sell stuff that will take the smell back out of the carpet, you use it in the carpet scrubber, or carpet steamer. Plus there is a spray form and the carpet deodorizer powder. He/She keeps going to the same spot, because he has done it there before and can still smell it. (Even if you have scrubbed it) You will probably need to use a carpet cleaner pet formula. You will need to look in the pet aisle

Live the dog outside for most of the time. Let her in a few times per day for a very short period of time. That would be a privilege to go inside. In less than a week she would stop doing that. Your dog is an outside dog. and that is her way of letting you know that she wants to be in the backyard, not inside the house.

First, take your dog to the vet. Something is wrong. Also, for the carpet, use lots of cold water and oxyclean. If the stain is fresh I've found salt works well. Good luck.

Carpet cleaner works I guess.
Could be obtained at Canadian Tire kind of shops and it's not expensive at all.
Could buy stronger versions of those and instructions also on the back I think it will do.

haaa. hope that helps. I clean my carpet with those too. Smells good too.

I have a dog like that... He takes a medication for it called Proin, which works very well. Just get the dog checked out. It could be something small.
