She wont walk... we were playing (she was chasing me around the yard)... then all of a sudden she stopped... and limped over... there seems to be a problem with her right front paw. But i dont understand... she just kinda fell on it when walking around...

How worried should i be? Is this normal for puppies? i know i should see a vet.... but any other input is appreciated

My coon hound mix is excellent for an agility or tracking sport!
I want to put her in agilty I was just wondering if anyone else is doing the same thing that i do.... I do not have the money to pay for proper agility equipment so i am going to use regular wooden poles to stick into the ground for weaves and me and my friends will build the stuff like the staqnd thing and the teater totter and such.... then we will buy a childrens play tunnel to use for a tunnel and shoot do u think its a good idea does anyone else do that?

I have had my dog, a black Labrador, for about nine years now, and over the years he's just grown progressively intolerable. In his early years he wouldn't stop running away, but I figured that it was normal for a puppy to do so. This continued until he was approximately three years old.

He's going on nine years of age this coming October and he has recently resumed his running-away business, and it's near impossible to catch him. On top of that he suffers from epilepsy (yes, my dog has seizures every now and then) and some type of ear fungus--not mites.

I have a limited budget and I can barely afford to take care of my dog and save enough money for school. I don't know of any close relatives or friends who would take him in, and I doubt anyone in my town would want a nine year old dog with health problems. I have thought about having him put down or sent to animal control or the humane society, but that would just be inhuman.

Any suggestions on what I could do with him?

Maybe once or twice a day, it sounds like she's trying to clear her throat by making a coughing sound. She has no symptoms like a cold or anything, she's eating normally and running around and swimming like always, so i don't think she's sick, but I'm wondering what would cause the cough.

I have a 2 1/2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. The past 2 weeks she has been very lethargic. I ended up taking her into the vet and she has had various blood tests, thyroid tests, electrolite test and nothing is showing up. A breeder suggested running a more complete Lyme disease test called the Western Blot. After that I'm out of ideas. I was hoping that someone out there may have some suggestions - they would be greatly appreciated. If nothing shows up today then the vet wants to run and MRI and much more expensive tests.

I say "Cookie and a car ride, car ride and a cookie" over and over again while shaking her rump. These are her two favorite words and they drive her insane. How do you do it?

She just turned 1 Year old. She always ate Eukanuba for Puppy's but now she eats the Adult 1 year and up. She didnt like to eat it at first but now she eats it and today she vomit every where and she pooped WHILE walking through the house. She didnt even squad. and it is like liquid. Whats wrong with her? Could it be because she ate grass? Should I go back to the Puppy Food. Is it OK to give her the Puppy Food when she is older than 1 year?

i have seen so many people who answer people's questions with "ugh, why do people even have dogs?" for instance, the one i just read was in response to someone whose dog has an odor problem. some of these same people gripe at people for wanting to buy a dog instead of adopt, (both are good ideas i think) and they act like they know ALL about how to care for your dog, when the only advice they give is Take it to the vet. well, you should take your dogs to the vet for serious problems, but sometimes people need advice and they can't get to a vet for whatever reason! anyway, it's not like i stay up at night because someone on the net was rude, i just wish we could block all these "know-it-alls" who want to criticize everyone else!
