Most girl children like puppies for all the reasons that have been given -the pups are pretty, soft ,cuddly and baby-like.
However many young girls cannot cope with the more practical aspects of living with a puppy. All very young puppies bite when playing and their sharp teeth can be very painful. They also tend to have fairly long sharp claws until these are worn down and blunted. They can accidentally give a very nasty scratch.
A child is just as likely to be as fond of a cuddly toy as a real puppy. This is why parents should think twice about buying pets for children who are not old enough to be responsible for them.
It is so easy to 'ooh' and 'aah' over a cute puppy - it is another matter altogether when you have to stand in your garden in the middle of the night waiting for it to 'perform' or clear up after it has made a mess in the house.
Dealing with the children after the pup has destroyed some treasured possession is not so easy either.
I'm happy to deal with it all with my next pup but at least I know what to expect and I'm not motivated by sentimental slush - pups, like babies, are only cute and cuddly for a short time. Rescue centres are full of dogs that have past their 'cute' stage.

Girls are nuturers...they like to care for people or animals..boys like puppies too! the ones who do, are the best daddy material... When I married my hubby..he had several dogs..all tiny dogs...and I knew he was good parent material..he was a big guy..yet so sweet and gentle with tiny dogs and puppies....sigh....And I was right! He is the best dad ever!

Well, I like puppies of my favorite breed, like the Pomeranian,Siberian Husky, or Alaskan Malamute, I also like them because they are cute but sometimes adorable. I most times like them because they're little tongue is red and they seem to smile all the time.Once they grow up,they are lees active and they don't seem to smile that much.

Its a stereotype. Many girls I know don't like dogs or puppies many are scared of them. The girls that do like them like them becuse they're cuddley and they can treat them like babies and are cute!!

Because there sweet and dependent like a child also they don't have the hangups people have. They look at all people the same.
