My 4 month old spayed shepherd mix seems to get along well with most dogs. She came from a foster home with 6 other dogs of mixed genders and sizes. She has a great time with our friend's 4 month old female german shepherd, lots of play with no serious growling or posturing.

However there is one dog in our puppy training class that she gets really aggressive with. The dog is the same size and age, also female. Both my dog and this other one are friendly with other dogs but seem to have it in for each other.... they sniff for a second and then snap at each other and bark like crazy. Doesn't look like friendly play. What would cause her act this way with just this one dog? Is there anything I can do to prevent this behaviour?

She also had a barking fit when a friend's male, unfixed huge lab came over. I figured the fact that he is unfixed and huge was the issue with that one...

i have one now he was given to me through a friend of a friend,they are awsome dogs,mine is getting older,and i would like to find another i need a reputable breeder who isn't charging an arm,leg and my first born child for one,where can i get one of these wonderful dogs for a reasonable price also if you have any Caucasian Ovcharka stories i would love to hear them

I've tried putting a sock on his foot he has a lamp-shade looking thing on him. And now it is open. I don't have money for more stitches in fact I owe the vet.

Here is mine: I have two dogs; a shih-tzu (a boy) and a yorkiepoo (a girl). My shih-tzu always acts like a gentlemen to my yorkiepoo, giving up little things for her, such as who gets to sit on the leftover space up on the couch or who gets to eat the last milkbone. It's just oh so cute the way he'll do anything for her! Shih-tzus just have that sweetheart nature!

Just wondering if other owners out there feel the same way :-)

i walked in and the bag was shreded and weed was all over the floor he was layin on his side whining really bad so i couldent punish him but he cant seem to keep his balence when
he stands up i gave him water and he fell on the bowl just trying to take a drink..i have let him eat about a quarter before and he was fine .. how can i avoid goin to the vet cause weed is ilegal and dont want to get into troblel

he is constantly scracthing. i thought he had fleas but my other dog rarely ever scratches. also if i scratch anywhere on the dogs back he shakes his leg as if it tickles.

every time i get the vacuum out my little shih tzu runs scared..today he was sitting on the bed and he ran under the pillows and hid until i put it away....It is rather funny to me!!! Anybody elses run scared of it..i wonder if in their mind it is really scary to them...

My female has been in heat, i have kept my male seperated from her, well i let my guard down the other day, because it was thundering and raining, so i had both dogs in and forgot, next thing you know he's was on top of her, nothing i could about it after that, but my question is, she is only a year old and i have read she should be at least 2 yrs old before breeding, i want to know if i can still have her puppies papered and still sell them assuming she takes to him (praying she doesn't) i have asked CKC site but have not heard from them yet, does anyone know. Please help.

My dog is only eating once daily – is this okay? He’ll eat about 2 cups of food around 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm. I try to feed him in the morning but he wont eat so I take it away, I usually leave him little treats though, they’re sometimes eaten and sometimes not. Water is always available though. – Although when human food is around he automatically becomes Hungary. My dog is a pug.

Hello evryone.

i have a Golden retriver and i was notecing that he has been shaking and rubbing his head alot. so i decided to have a look in his ear. one is fine not the other . It look like water came out his ear and it's a little red and kinda waxy. i have a bad sence of smell so i cant smell anything.

i clean his ear with water but i was wondering is this from an infection? or did water get in his ear?
I'm asking about the water becouse we have one of those inflateble pools and a couple of weeks ago i cought my grown husbnad dunking the dog in the pool.

i know evryone will say go to the vet . well i live in the burbs and they are not open on sundays . so does anyone know like a home remedy or something i can do to help him out a little(the dog )

someone told me to put mineral oil in his ear that that would help but i dont know.
