Ok, I just watched the cutest thing http://www.thetalkingpug.com and it really "says/barks" "I LOVE YOU!!" it's so adorable! Anyone else have pets with talent?

I noticed his pads on the bottom of his paws felt and looked kinda cracked. Does this hurt him and would it be okay to just put some human hand lotion on his paws???

He's almost 5 months old and 3.4 pounds. He's very friendly with everyone. The only time he has attempted to bark was about 3 weeks ago when a couple of kids rode their bike into our yard while he was outside. It wasn't a real bark it sounded kinda weak, and high pitched.

ok shes a little smaller then a med size dog and she weighs about 45 pounds and shes a year old .her belly hangs and it doesnt look like a fit belly like all those other dogs i see on t.v .in the moring she eats 2 small cans of dog food about 6.o onces each can .then all day she has dry food in her bowl which she doesnt even touch half the time until like 9 at night sometimes and like at 7 my mom gives her rice and chicken and during the day she might get a bone or treats .i'm afarid shes to fat .shes always huffing and out of breath but she also plays and runs around all day so that might be it .when i took her to the vet he didnt say anything about it .do you guys think shes to fat?

This is if we have to leave for a hurricane so i will not be able to let somebody sit my animals..... I am to worried that I won't get them back and I can't board them into a shelter... to expensive and they wouldn't be able to run around

I believe in the all natural way...meaning no shots, no kibble, and so on. Just how do I stop fleas without the use of insecticides?

My chi was bit this morning by my other dog. My chis is 4 lbs. and my other dog is 100 lbs. Her little jaw was swollen and I applied ice and the swelling went down. However, she won't eat or drink anything and if anyone makes any sudden movements or tries to pick her up she yelps and yelps. She didn't do this before. She was very playful and outgoing prior to this. I've caught her standing in one spot for like 10 minutes and not do or say anything. I understand the trauma she's been through and this has all happened like in one day, but will she get better.

I got a my puppie at 6 months old. I recieved him from a pet store on a impulse buy. I love my little guy so much that my husband at times does get a tad jealous, hey my doggie is a Lhapso Apsa and he is the cutest thing! My question is...are dogs in certain countries treated well as my doggie? I am so scared that in primitive countries that they abuse animals. Are dogs abused in primitive coutries?

I have a 13 week old mongrel male puppy and he keeps doing his business indoors, we keep the back door open all day and he has access to the back garden until bedtime, he used to go in the garden all the time, but has now started just doing it in the house, does anybody have any ideas what I can do to stop this behavior, I dont want to crate him.

My mom is so mad at me because of what I did to the dog. See I was house-sitting our dog- a German Sheppard- and its a girl so she's gentle. I was on the couch eating Dunkin Donuts and was trying to enjoy the TV. I decided I wanted the dog to join me on the couch. So I signaled for her to get on the couch. But she wouldnt. I signaled again and said "Sasha!" But she wouldn't budge- she looked frightened. I dont get it- just because Im a big man or something. Finally I got really pisssed and I grabbed her by the collar chain and forced her up on the couch next to me- and hit her hard in the nose for disobeying me! She yelped but I didnt care- she had no right to not listen to me. She yowled in pain but I forced her to stay on my lap for the rest of the evening- and to punish her more I didnt feed her or give her water. Anyways my Mom noticed the dog was acting funny when she came back and scolded me for doing it. Im a young adult (20s) in case anyone cares. So why do people think this?
