i've heard yorkie's bark alot...which would you choose?

Well my personal favourite is labs. But given your choices I would say a jack russell. I think they are very cute and train very well.

I have actually had both. I still have the yorkie but had to find the jack russell and new home because he was SOOO hyper and not interested in learning at all. If you have lots and lots of time for exercise jack russells could be great dogs. Yorkies barking a lot is just a misconception in my opinion. My yorkie watches the other dogs in the neighborhood go wild with barking and looks at them like they are crazy and never partipates. The only barking he does is when I tell him to "say please". Yorkies are big dogs in a little body and ARE NOT your typical yappy dog.

Yorkies can bark a lot but so can Jack Russells. Jacks are never still. They are a very hyper dog. Yorkies can be too. Go to the Purina website and take the questionnaire and see which breed is best for you. I wouldn't have either one. Both are extremely difficult to housebreak.

How much money do you want to spend on grooming? Jack Russell's, while hyper, are short coated and will only need minimal grooming. Yorkies will need grooming every 6-8 weeks, depending on how fast the fur grows. My friend has to groom her Yorkie every 4 weeks because her dog's fur grows extremely fast. Just something to think about.

Jack Russell Terriers are also one of the more vocal breeds... plus they require ALOT more exercise than a Yorkie does.

there is definately Yorkie, and probaby some Jack Russel Terrier. additionally sounds like there is Silky Terrier in there too! Yorkie's and Silkies are generally perplexed, that is why.

I love jack russells although these do bark alot also. Most terriers do im afraid

i used to have a yorkie and he didn't bark that much actually he was pretty quiet. so i'd favor a yorkie but then again i'm biased.

yorkie...it all depends of the character of the dog, remember no two dogs are alike
