I'm thinking of buying one but I don't know what kind of temperament do they have. Do they get along well with other dogs?

Have you done a Yahoo Search on this breed at all? How about checking on the Animal Planet website? They have a Dog Breed Selector on there that tells you all kinds of characteristics about the different breeds. These are the two things I do before adopting a dog. Also, before buying, why not try the breed rescue group? There a few out there. Find them on Yahoo Search as well.

I think they are great dogs. I have been around a few and would love to have one. They are just like German Sheperds, however. They were bred to do a job and get bored easily. There are ways around this, but you must be comitted to training and keeping your dog busy in some way. They are a very loyal and obedient breed.

Good luck with your search!

Have you owned dogs before? If not a Belgian Malinois may not be a good first pick. Get in touch with some reputable breeders and read up.

I don't know much about that breed, but the American Kennel Club has standards and qualities of most breeds.

My father had a Norweigian Elkhound that was a faithful, gentle dog who liked to hike with my father. Maybe you could check them out. They are beautiful too.

I know a person who's owned several. They can have aggression problems, but it can be helped with extensive training and socialization. Also, it's a working dog, so you need to be prepared to keep it busy so you can retain some sanity!
