How sweet! Our Shih-Tzu is 5 months old (Benji) and he has just been a joy. He always makes us smile and he does have a unique personality. Some funny things he does: I give him a treat, but he doesn't eat it right away. He has to play with it and carry it around with him for about an hour before he eats it. Another thing is he likes to latch onto his tug-a-war rope, lay flat out like a bear rug, and lets me drag him around on the kitchen floor, and I am usually the one who gives up first. LOL I've bought him a bunch of toys, but his favorite things to play with are just simple things; the plastic lid from a Scrubbing Bubbles can and a 20 oz plastic pop bottle (with the plastic wrapper removed of course), and he just goes crazy pushing them around with his nose and then chasing after them. He does so many cute and funny things, that it is hard to remember offhand. All I know is I made the right choice when I got him, he has brought a whole new element to our family, and we would be lost without him.

we've a shih tzu and he or she does not hassle our allergic reactions. Ours does not shed. if your mom is allergic then i'd propose finding a shih tzu (the two at a close-by guard/rescue team or a buddy or neighbor that has one) and characteristic her spend a while around the canine to confirm it shouldn't hassle her to be on the risk-free section. they are incredible canine... i'd definately propose this breed! We accompanied an older shih tzu and he or she has in no way had an twist of destiny interior the domicile... she's relatively person-friendly going and laid back. She's incredible with my son who has specific desires. She's in no way growled, bitten or snapped at any people... she would be in a position to growl at canine that are greater beneficial than her yet i think of that would come from some thing that would have happened to her in her former domicile the place she became abused/neglected.

My Shih-tzu is 7years old. He is so cute when he sits on his hind legs and flaps his front ones to beg for a treat. We call this a groundhog. He also sits by the pantry and scratches the door for a treat.

Mine is named Tootsie. I got her from the pound. I just love her! But she wouldn't react when I called. I found-out she hard of hearing. I love to watch her sleep. Her little legs run and she barks. Bye the way, that's the ONLY time she barks. What a great breed!!!!

Absolutely. Mine is the light of my life. She actually flirts with my husband. It's too cute. She kind of dances around and moves her head back and forth. She is with me now visiting with my mom who doesn't like dogs. Yesterday mom told her she loved her and was glad she was her granddog. Mom throws her toy all day too because she's too cute to resist. She only weighs 8lbs. and is black and white.

My sister has a ****-zu and he puts your finger in his mouth and he will either take you to the center of the floor if he wants to play or to the door if he wants outside.
