have you had any experience with the breed of dog caucaisian ovcharka?

i have one now he was given to me through a friend of a friend,they are awsome dogs,mine is getting older,and i would like to find another i need a reputable breeder who isn't charging an arm,leg and my first born child for one,where can i get one of these wonderful dogs for a reasonable price also if you have any Caucasian Ovcharka stories i would love to hear them

I agree with the first response you received, you will want to get a respected breeder. It seems the German lines may be the purest.

I checked all my normal dog sites, there are NO listing for this breed..

I've not personally owned one, but I have experience with a couple that belong to clients. They are highly intelligent and excellent guard dogs, but a firm hand it needed to train them.

When it comes to purchasing a puppy, you should probably not skimp on price and get one with the best breeding and temperament that you can. They are a fairly rare breed, so hopefully unscrupulous breeders have not mass produced inferior quality puppies.
