well, your dogs love you! that's why they're licking you. but if you don't want them to, tell them "no" when they lick you, but don't be too harsh on them. or else they just won't love you anymore.

There can be many reasons for this. Many dogs do this, however you said "I cant show any kind of affection..." that sounds as if they are jealous of one another.Kind of an emotional things, and they dont want to be left out.Although,it can be health related as well.Several dogs i have seen lick their owners constantly, not only their owners but other things as well so watch for signs of that.If they lick your skin, they could be missing something in their diets. We have salts on our skin that when they lick us they get that taste and its sort of a replacement for what they are missing. That is an easy fix tho, simply change the type of food you feed them and/or you can take them to the vet for a supplement. That isnt always the case but its something to consider. This sounds as if it is emotional tho,i just wouldnt make a difference in either one of them give them equal attention.

It's probably a nervous habit. I'm not sure if you can stop it. Punishment will not be effective in this situation. Deal with it one dog at a time. Isolate the one you're working with from the other. I would try petting the dog then placing it on the floor/stepping away from them before he/she can start licking. Gently push the dog away when the licking starts and keep your distance until he/she calms down. Or lock it in a pet carrier few minutes if it insists on trying to lick you. Repeat. Patience and persistence is the key. Good luck.

They love you and are showing affection, you will have to teach them that their is no need for all the licking

That is how dogs show affection. Probably you need to train the dog. Sometimes it is not OK to lick.

Very submissive canines!! there is a few spray "bitter Apple" or different over the counter puppy product which you will spray to deter him from licking. you may continuously to purpose prepare him to sit down down with juicy bait, and puppy him till now you provide him the manage, whilst he attempt to lick you shrink back and say no, sit down. he will quickly decide that he will in basic terms get the manage if he continues to be, and facilitates you to puppy him first. Repitition, persitance and love, save working at it.

Plain and simple They love you and they love the things u do for them. They are just so happy to be apart of your life and u apart of their lives some gently but firm nos and making them go and lay down, paying no attn to them. And a lot of praise when they do good they should stop some.

Grooming is the way animals show affection. They love you.

they are just licking the salt off your skin. they love the salt (but i would not advise giving your dog salt from the shaker either)
