I have two chihuahuas and they are having babies around August 17th. I've looked everywhere online, but I can't find anything about whether or not the male dog can be around his babies. I know with some animals the male is agressive towards offspring. Any advice?

He's a 1 1/2 year Cairn Terrier Mix...

The vomit is usually clear or yellowish and is occassionally "chunky". He doesn't act sick before or after he vomits. Should I get him to a vet?

If a dog had attacted a girl at the age of 14 that was your daughter then your husband or other loved one. Would you keep it in your house. and later dates if you did keep the dog and it had attacked the other dogs or other animals enough to draw blood on them. Would you still keep the dog.

I have a 2 yr old female greyhound, and I just got a male Ragdoll kitten. So far they've only met with the bars of a cage or gate between them. The greyhound isn't acting agressive, more like she wants to play. However, with the way she plays with her toys, I'm not sure the kitten would survive! She snaps her teeth at the kitten, which is what she tends to do when she's in a playful mood. I'm just afraid of the kitten getting hurt accidentally. Any suggestions?

I credit my dogs to getting me through some of the toughest times in my short adult life. This last year, me and my boyfriend had a falling out, he moved leaving me with all the rent and stuck in a strange town where I knew next to no one. Every day I woke up with their smiling faces nudging me awake, and everyday I came home they were there to greet me by barking and jumping and kissing me. Without them, that year would have been very hard - and granted they did cause some frustration by peeing on the carpet - but I don't think I could have pulled through and finished my last year of college without them. What are your stories? How have your pets helped you?

I just get so frustrated reading meassages by people too irresponsible to take care of their own dogs, or going to the shelter and seeing all the perfectly good dogs about to be put to sleep because the owner "didn't have enough time". What is wrong with people? Dogs are NOT ACCESSORIES! They are not stuffed animals that you can just use and then throw away! Getting a dog is like adopting a baby, it's not something that should be taken lightly and you shouldn't want to get one just because it is a breed that you see everyone else with. Does this bother anybody else? Dog over population is a major problem - but not many people seem concerned - are you?
