Dogs - July 2006

I have a papillon and a mixed breed/border collie. They are trained very well to go potty outside, but everytime it rains, they go inside the house. Argggg! I hate that. How can I teach these dogs that they have to go outside, even if it means they get a little wet?

Has this actually worked for anyone, because my dad friend’s dogs got lost & they ended up looking at the pound (the dogs ended up there) & they hadn't even checked for the chip & both dogs had them

I have a small inside dog that keeps being reinfected with round worms from other dogs coming into our yard and leaving there waste on the yard.This is the third time within a month that my dog has been reinfected with the round worms and the Vet. says it is to soon to give the meds.again.I just dosed him on Fri.the18th of june.So what can I put on the yard to run these dogs off?My dog is 9yrs.old so this is hard on his system,plus he has other health problems.

I have a mixed breed dog, approx. 1 year old. He needed a larger house, and I found one at a yardsale which I thought would suit him well. He refuses to sleep in it! I've tried cleaning it extensively to remove the smell of the previous dog, but he still refuses. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a friend who is crazy about her two dogs like her own children spending money on their cataracts and such, fussing so much and cannot think about living without them although they are in their old age. My ex and i were together six years, and broke up just days before she had her puppies. She had five total, and is now trying to sell them. I don't want money or another puppy, i want one of MY dog's puppies. I am devastated and heartbroken over this. We've had both since they were first puppies themselves, and have waited so long for them to have puppies of their own. The male is registered to me, so i'm wondering if that helps any?
