Jack Russell terriers are bred to do just that. They are great for getting rid of moles. They are natural born diggers, and chasers. The can jump high, so they can catch vermin or other animals as they try to get away and scamper up trees and such.

Terriers were historically bred to do just that...chase prey down holes and into places larger dogs couldn't go. Its a natural instinct of theirs.

OF COURSE!!*THOUSANDS* DO!!! 'Chuck,fox,coon,possum,badger...whatever.
NOT RATS,btw!! IF you'd ever SEEN a rathole, you'd KNOW NO DOG could fit!
Check the AWTA site- Ameican Working Terrier Association. And there are several other WORKING TERRIER sites-terriercentral,for one.
I don't DO "whitedawgs" but hunt/work w/several guys who do.

I have a jack russell and fox terrior. Here in Australia, and on our farm we have a part of a scrub paddock that's full of hundreds of RABBIT holes. They're wide, but our puppies won't go near them. How come you're asking? Do you know how to do it?
