My dog, max, is a maltese and he has a liver shunt. I have no way to come up with 2500 dollars to get him his needed surgery. I try my hardest taking him to the vet and giving him his medicine, but it just isn't working anymore. I'll do anything to save my dogs, but it seems that all vets care about is money. If you don't have money, they can't help you. Can someone give me advice on where I should go from here? And fundraising and sponsorship doesn't help. Thanks in advance

The vets are closed so I am posing this question on here. My dog keeps vomiting after she eats and seems lethargic. She doesnt have loose stools, but even if she eats a blade of grass not even 5 minutes go by and she vomits it up. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

I play with him and show him plenty of affection. But, it's annoying when he's scratching up my leg or my arm. So, is he doing this for MORE attention or just trying to dominate me in an affectionate way?

I ave a three year old Shih-Tzu. Last Thursday his eye was swelling and running quite a bit so I took him to the vet. The vet put him to sleep and looked under his third eyelid and found a one inch splinter. (We have no idea where it came from.) The swelling has gone down and we are putting in the drops that the doc gave us but this morning his eye was turnung cloudy and blue. I took him back to the vet and all he said was that he probably has damage to his cornea and to keep using the drops. My question is: If he has damage to his cornea does that mean he will be blind in that eye? Or can it heal and be fine?

I got a 6 year old boston terrier and 3 days ago when I came home from work he started vomitting bad. I took him to the emergency vet and they diagnose him with gastritis? My family vet prescribed a bland diet and some pepsid medicine.

He seemed to be doing better the last few days. Today I had some guest over (for the holiday). My dog got excited at the activity and now he's back vomitting like crazy again. He's still on his bland diet and I know he didnt eat wrong. First he vomits the food I fed him, then yellow gooey stuff, now white foamy vomit. Besides the vomitting and the urge to vomit, he's been eating and defecating normally.

His stomach looks much more shrunken than before too, but the vet didn't have much of an opinion when i told him about it. I take my dog to get his shots regularly but my personal feelings about vets are they don't know what they're doing.
Anyone got any opinions?
