Stop Running...Turn and face the dog even if you are terrified DONT LET HIM KNOW IT..Tell him in a Firm voice..NO or GET BACK, If he does attack you cover your throat and face with criss-crossed hands and try to curl up, be still..So he cant bite you anywhere that lethal..Most dogs dont want to bite..They are blufing..But If you run you become prey and they are more prone too..If its not a powerful breed and is wearing a collar...You can grab it and sling IT on its back where it is being submissive to you.We do this with even the powerful breeds at work..It doesnt hurt them its part of training..They learn to respect YOU as the boss!

If you are being chased by a mean dog and you can't get to a safe place before the dog will get to you. Turn and face the dog and in a stern voice use commands like Stay or sit. If the dog is trained it may respond. It is true what people say, dogs can smell fear, so make sure you use a stern voice. If the dog is still advancing and lunges at you, if your reflexes are good enough raise your knee and meet the dogs chest, this will prevent the dog from getting to you as well as knocking a bit of air out of the dog, and causing it's front legs to go out to the side. Then you want to grab the legs and push them until they snap. I know this sounds mean. But if it is you or the dog it might as well be the dog. Meanwhile you should be screaming for help, as loud as you can. If you are not able knee the dog and grab his legs, try to grab it's lower jaw and hold on tight, you will puncture your hand but dogs can't bit down hard if you grab the lower part of their jaw as well as it will give you control over the dogs head. If you end up on the ground with the dog try to get a finger into its eye, It's really gross and unpleasant. but you can imagine if you had a finger jammed into your eye socket in a fight you are going to stop everything you are doing because of the shear pain you will be in.

While u are running pick up a rock or something u could hit the dog with and throw it at the dog. if the owners say u hurt it or something say he started chasing u first . U could go to the police if u want and tell them he was chasing after u.

Not sure if I would stand there and let the dog attack me. When I was 10 years old I rott attack me for 15 minutes straight, and im very lucky to be alive. Got a nice settlement out of it though = D. Well I just standing there and this rot came running towards me, and I didnt budge nor was I afraid. The Rot first sniffed around me and then grabbed me by my arm and from there it was hell after that. That attack ripped my arteries out, and got me over 130 bite wounds. Next time im not sticking around... Im gonna run really really fast!!!!!! You better run!!!

If you're provoking the dog...say making a sound, barking at it or throwing something at it, then it's no wonder you're being chased. But if you're not, remain calm always. Don't let him know that you're scared...Don't run. Walk slowly to a safe area. But always try to be calm.

My canines is enormously laid back and on a similar time as he has a brilliant number of toys, he basically isn't into them. He performs along with his toys approximately 5 minutes consistent with day. yet whilst he does play, he gets a random burst of ability and he will grab the closest toy and attempt against with it. He continually finally ends up getting so over excited that he flings the toy away and then won't be able to discover it. Then he will drop his front paws on the floor and hoist his butt interior the air and wag his tail and anticipate me to help him discover this toy. this is hilarious.

First I'd advoid the dog. I would most likely use my cell phone and call the police for help. I would find something to protect myself against the dog like a stick or a bat. I would use it if I had too.

Don't run, stand your ground if you can and do not look him in the eye( Face to face) He will consider you less of a threat that way.
