Dogs - June 2006

As the fourth of July gets closer, more and more people are setting fireworks off. My dog has been known to throw herself into the door of her cage (and hurt herself badly) because of her anxiety. She is normally a VERY quiet and passive dog. I called the vet and just to bring her in to get sedatives would cost me upwards of $300. I just cant afford it. There has GOT to be a way to help her out without putting me in the poor house. I sincerely hope someone out there has an answer for me because im at my wits end and i just dont know how to help her.

I am an animal lover and I do not agree with the way people are treating pit bulls. They want to kill the breed off in some cities! I believe it is how the dog is rasied thta makes them who they are. What do you think

He already does his business outside, not inside, but I don't have a schedule, just whenever I think it's been long enough. And every morning at like 7:30 I wake up to his yapping and whinning, it's so irritating. help?

my jack russell is always scratching and it gets so bad ...that he sometiimes makes himself bleed. we've taken him to many vets and they say it's allegies but im not convinced. My mom has found about 5 fleas hidden on his fur. Any advice on what it could be and what i can do about it?
