They say 10-14 years in the books but anything is possible. My pitbulls are only 2 and 3 years old but I hope they can beat that span. I love them and will try my hardest 2 keep them healthy and happy!!!

They should live for about ten to 14 years of age, depending on their size. Since pitbulls can range pretty greatly in size, it is hard to say exactly without seeing the individual dog. The smaller ones will usually live a year or so longer than the bigger ones. Your vet can give you more information on your individual dog.

I don't really know but with all the controversy against them these days, they are being put down at early ages. Even the president of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, is against them which is a total double standard and should not be representing PETA. She apparently had an incident with one so does not like them and agree with the new legislation about them being put down.
