I was told that kittens will die from regular milk. I just took my kitten off milk and she's now eating dry kitten food. Do you think she'll be o.k.? She's barely 6 weeks old.

Just gave my new cat a drontal feline pill yesterday and want to take her and her litter box out of quarantine so she can be with the other cats in the house. (She is a new cat to the house, had fleas so assume thats how she got the tape worm, she no longer has fleas as they were treated with advantage 10 days ago) she has been in quarantine pretty much since we got her 11 days ago cuz we saw she had fleas and didnt want the other cats in the household to get them. so there isnt much chance the other cats in the house need to be treated.
I also realize i need to give her another pill in 4 weeks but my main question was
Does any one have and idea how long drontal feline takes to erradicate the worm? Do I keep my cat in quarantine for 3 more weeks?

I was using Tidy Cat multiple cats, but I noticed the last batch I bought (I go through about 80 pounds of litter a month) - they changed the formula. It's more course and doesn't control odor as well. Now (since the litter changed), one of my four cats is peeing outside the litter box. Any suggestions for a finer clumping litter that controls odor better?

I would prefer to use a non-toxic, home remedy type of solution, but will try anything at this point to keep the neighborhood cats from peeing all over the outside of my house (mainly the patio and sometimes in the garage).

My almost 4mo. old bengal kitten tested positive for giardia. he was put on Panacur for 3 days and when I brought him back 2 days after finishing his medicine he still tested positive. He was then put on Flagyll for 7 days and this time when I brought him back after finishing med. he tested negative. The vet says I should bring him back in 2 weeks to be tested again to make sure the giardia is gone. Is this necessary? can it come back once its gone? Could it have been a false negative?

I have a cat who is 19 years old. She is in fairly good health - she is affectionate, can see and get around the house, knows who I am, etc. But she cannot hear, has arthritus and the beginning of kidney disease. That's fine, all treatable. The thing that drives me and especially my husband absolutely nuts is that she pees on everything. We can't leave a load of laundry in a pile or even folded in a basket w/o her peeing in it. Sooo stinky. I don't feel right about putting her down yet, she has been my baby for so long - but I wanted opinions on when it should come to that.

My cat is declawed. She has been since she was a kitten. I know it sounds mean to get a cat declawed, but it was the only way my parents would let me keep her.. But anyways, she really wants to go outside. We have been letting her go out for a couple weeks. She comes back in every once in a while but it scares me because without claw's how could she defend herself, say if there was a dog or somethig? What should i do? should i keep letting her out??

i have a cat. whenever it uses the "bathroom" it goes right next to the litter box, not in it. so we decided to change the litter box twice a week, but still the same results. we even bought the cat a new litter box, but again, the same results. if we don't find a solution we'll have to give it away. any suggestions?

thank you

He wakes us up in the night evey two hours and does not leave you alone until he gets fed, its become a nuisance as i have not had a good nights sleep since we got him in July, we have tried shutting him out the bedroom but he scratches the carpet until he is given attention. Any ideas how i can stop all this or why he is always hungry

This morning my parents woke me up and my cat, Minnie, was very disoreinted.. My dad figures she has had a stroke.. she was very lost and scared.. it was like she couldn't see.. She was unable to walk straight.. but as soon as the door to my bedroom was opened she tried to make her way to my bed.. I am really scared and I don't know what this could mean.. She is the love of my life.. and I want her to live atleast until I have my baby so she/he can be graced with her precence.. I love my cat more than I love life. It sounds crazy but I would die for my cat.. She means the world to me.. I really need help.. we are taking her to the vet as soon as possible.. well.. I am taking her to the vet.. but of course.. the vet is closed due to the holiday..which makes me absolutely furious!

Wondering what brand or brands is the most nutritional for kittens. I'm thinking about organic raw meats, but I don't think I will be doing it all the time.

Flying from California to Ohio with four cats. Will they be comfortable and well taken care of? What about connecting flights--are take-offs and landings harder for them? Should I anesthetize them?

i recently moved in with a roommate that has a 5-6 month old kitten. my cat is approx. 2 yrs old. ive noticed that when she has gotten mad or miffed over something in the past she will try to pee in the floor. she has done this more frequently lately b/c the kitten wont play with her. it chases her, and then she chases it. but they dont play together. ive caught her a couple of the times and spanked her and put her in the bathroom with the litter box. she seems to do it when mad, and has peed in my roommates room more than anywhere else. any help or advice would be appreciated. thanks!

Does anyone know if a cat will choose to pass on, as silly as that sounds, just because she is feeling a little tired. My cat had a very good appetite, her hearing and eyesight were fine too. I can't say for sure how old she was. I took her in Labor Day weekend of 2005. My landlord only told me that she was a stray (outdoor cat-couldn't keep her in except during storms or when she got hurt) and has been around for many years. She loved to still play and whatnot but I'm just trying to understand or figure out why she might have died otherwise. (I don't even understand what I just wrote.) Basically, even though she had her appetite, hearing, sight, but was just a little old, can a cat simply pass anyway with no other signs? The only sign I ever saw was that sometimes she seemed a little tired. Thanks for any input. Heartbroken as all heck but I did lose 8 pounds in a week. Whoopie.... Goes with the grieving I guess. Oh, her name was BUDDY.

I saw this on a poster advert
for Yahoo answers but can't
remember what it said! We
have a troublesome cat that keeps scratching the hell out of our car - its parked next to a hedge, which might be the problem, but it's an allocated space, so we're stuck there. Help! It's ruining our car's paintwork.

Please help me think of a name for my cat. I have 3 new baby kittys. I named one magic. I named one Houdini. The 3rd is a female she is black with a few brown spots. I need to still name her but I want it to go with the theme of the other 2. So please give me some ideas relating to Magic or famous female magician.
